Terms of Use
The rules of the road. Read the safety bit before you ride.
These Terms of Use ("Terms") are a contract between you and Wendlore. By installing or using the Wendlore mobile app, the Wendlore service, or this website, you agree to them. If you don't, please stop using Wendlore.
Safety first
Wendlore is a navigation and audio companion, not a substitute for paying attention. You are responsible for riding safely, obeying traffic laws, and watching the road. Do not look at the screen while moving. Do not let audio narration distract you from hazards. Routes are generated automatically and may include closed roads, private property, unsafe surfaces, or paths inappropriate for your vehicle — always use your own judgment. Read section 8 before your first ride.
1. Who you are contracting with
These Terms are between you and Globy Peaks ("Wendlore", "we", "us"). Contact us at [email protected].
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 16 years old to use Wendlore. By using Wendlore you confirm that you are at least 16, hold any licence required to operate the vehicle you are using, and have legal capacity to enter into these Terms.
3. The service
Wendlore generates motorcycle (and bicycle / car / pedestrian) routes optimised for shape and scenery, narrates short stories tied to places along the route, plays turn-by-turn audio cues, and supports group rides with shared live position. Features are subject to change as we improve them. Some features depend on third-party services and may be temporarily unavailable for reasons outside our control.
4. Your account
You're responsible for keeping your sign-in credentials secret and for everything done through your account. Tell us at [email protected] if you suspect unauthorised access. You can delete your account at any time from the app or by emailing us; see the Privacy Policy for what happens to your data.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use Wendlore in any way that breaks the law or violates someone else's rights.
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source of the app, except where this restriction is prohibited by applicable law.
- Scrape, harvest, or abuse our APIs, routing service, or story generation in a way that imposes an unreasonable load on our systems.
- Interfere with other users (impersonation, harassment, sharing live position with people who haven't joined your group ride, etc.).
- Publish routes that direct riders onto private property without permission, into prohibited areas, or onto roads closed to your vehicle type.
- Use Wendlore to facilitate any activity that endangers other road users.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these rules.
6. Your content
Routes you create, names you give them, profile information, avatar images, and any other content you submit (collectively, "Your Content") stay yours. You grant Wendlore a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, and display Your Content solely to operate and improve the service — for example, to render your route on your map, to show your avatar in a group ride, or, if you mark a route as public, to display it to other riders.
You confirm that you have the right to submit Your Content and that doing so doesn't infringe anyone else's rights. We may remove content that violates these Terms or applicable law.
7. Our content & intellectual property
The Wendlore app, the Wendlore name and logo, the routing engine, the story-generation pipeline, the generated story text and audio, the user interface, and the website are owned by Wendlore or its licensors. You get a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive, revocable licence to use the service for its intended purpose. Nothing in these Terms transfers ownership of anything to you.
Generated stories are produced by Wendlore for your in-app use. Don't redistribute them, repackage them, train models on them, or pass them off as your own work.
8. Safe use & assumption of risk
Motorcycling, cycling, and driving carry inherent risks. By using Wendlore you acknowledge and accept that:
- The road is your responsibility, not ours. You must obey all applicable traffic laws, road signs, and signals, and ride according to road, weather, and traffic conditions.
- Routes are generated automatically. They may be incorrect, out of date, or inappropriate. They may direct you onto roads that are closed, dangerous, inaccessible, on private land, or unsuitable for your vehicle. Always evaluate the road in front of you before committing to it.
- Audio narration and turn cues are aids, not commands. Do not act on them blindly. Do not look at the screen while moving. Mount your phone safely if you use one.
- Background tracking can drain your battery and consume mobile data. Plan accordingly on long rides.
- Group-ride live position depends on connectivity. Riders may appear stale or missing when reception is poor. Do not rely on it as a safety system.
- Wendlore is not an emergency service. It does not detect crashes. It does not contact emergency services on your behalf. In an emergency, call your local emergency number.
9. Third-party services
Wendlore relies on third-party services (mapping, routing, language models, text-to-speech, hosting). Their availability, accuracy, and content are outside our control. We are not responsible for the acts or omissions of third parties, and your use of map content is also subject to those providers' terms (Google Maps, Apple Maps, GraphHopper, Anthropic, ElevenLabs, Supabase, Cloudflare).
10. Disclaimers
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, statutory, or otherwise, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or accuracy. We do not warrant that routes are safe, optimal, legal in your jurisdiction, or free of error; that stories are factually accurate; that the service will be uninterrupted; or that defects will be corrected.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law (for example, liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud).
11. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Wendlore, its officers, employees, and contractors will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenues, data, goodwill, or other intangible losses, arising out of or relating to your use of the service. Our total aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the service is limited to the greater of (a) the amounts you have paid to use Wendlore in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the liability, or (b) EUR 50.
12. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Wendlore from any claim, demand, loss, or damage (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your breach of these Terms, your misuse of the service, or your violation of any law or third-party right.
13. Suspension & termination
You can stop using Wendlore at any time and delete your account from the app or by emailing us. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms, if required by law, or if continuing to provide the service to you becomes commercially unreasonable. On termination, sections 6 (last paragraph), 7, 10, 11, 12, 14, and 15 survive.
14. Changes to the service or these Terms
We may change the service or these Terms. For material changes, we'll update the "Last updated" date above and notify you in-app or by email before they take effect. If you don't agree to the updated Terms, stop using Wendlore. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the changes.
15. Governing law & disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of Sweden, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. The courts of Sweden have exclusive jurisdiction to hear disputes arising out of these Terms, except where applicable consumer-protection law gives you the right to bring proceedings in the courts of your country of residence. If any provision is unenforceable, the rest stays in effect.
16. App-store terms
If you downloaded Wendlore from the Apple App Store or Google Play, you are also bound by the respective store's terms. Apple and Google are not parties to these Terms and have no obligations whatsoever in respect of the app. Apple's and Google's only role is to host the listing.
